Xiangyang science and technology museum was established in 1981, covering an area of 26.5 mu, with a style of garden style, beautiful environment and convenient transportation. Since building library, closely around the function of science and technology museum, the popular science exhibition teaching activities actively, xiangyang city government and relevant departments have been named as "the popular science education base", "national defense education base", "anti-drug education base", "fire education base" and "base are concerned about the next generation". In 2002, it was designated as the first "regional science exhibition center" in hubei province.
