Ningxia Musum was the preparatory office of the ningxia geological museum, which was established in September 1959. It was officially renamed the ningxia hui autonomous region museum in 1973. In November 2006, the new museum of the ningxia hui autonomous region broke ground, with a total investment of 228 million yuan, which was officially opened in September 2008 to celebrate the 50th anniversary. The new pavilion is located at the east side of people's square in jinfeng district, yinchuan city. The total building area is 30,258 square meters, with a total height of 21.2 meters and a total of four floors. Among them, there is a floor area of 8456 square meters, which is divided into cultural relics warehouses, equipment rooms and office areas, and the amount of cultural relics is 150, 000.
