The establishment plan of Wenzhou Ouhai District Museum was designed in 2010 and its main building was completed in December, 2012 with the area of 4,000 square meters. Wenzhou Ouhai District Museum is a local comprehensive and modern museum, mainly in charge of relative works of cultural relics’ collection, protection, study, using and spreading, and the investigation and daily management of both relics underground and on the ground in the whole district. During the third national heritage census, there were 366 new discoveries of immovable cultural heritages with significant historical and cultural values.
