Tongxiang Museum was established in 1976 and its new building was opened to the public at north part of botanical garden of Huanyuan Road in December, 2013. Its building area is 9,518 square meters with three fixed exhibition halls and two temporary halls. The museum has become a high-quality cultural and recreational activity place of local history researching, traditional culture spreading and patriotism educating via the ancient Luojiajiao cultural relics, exquisite Liangzhu jade, simple hard-lined pottery and proto-porcelain, elegant bronze ware and masters ‘handwriting and painting of different dynasties with advanced designs of sound, light, electricity, multimedia and computer network.
