Ningbo Museum, free opened to the public since December 5, 2008, is one of the top museums in China. It is a comprehensive museum with local characteristics and mainly exhibits humanity, history and art of Ningbo city. The museum building is the muster work of Wang Shu’s “Neo-ruralism” style, who is the first Chinese winner of “the Pritzker Architecture Prize”. The overall floorage is 30,000 square meters and the main building is 144 meters long, 65 meters wide and 24 meters high. The abundant antiques of the museum include the precious cultural relics, such as bronze ware, porcelain, bamboo carving, jade, calligraphy and paintings, gold and silver wares, folk custom from prehistoric Hemudu Culture to modern times, totally 60000 antiques.
